Privacy notice

What StoryGuessr stores.

Effective August 21, 2026. Guests can play without an account. Guest progress is stored locally in the browser. When you create an account, StoryGuessr stores your email identity, game history, seen moments, subscription status, and story votes so those features work across sessions.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication and database services. Stripe processes payments; StoryGuessr does not receive full card details. Resend may deliver transactional email. PostHog analytics loads only after you opt in. Advertising remains disabled until its consent and launch gates are complete.

Retention and choices

Gameplay history remains while your account is active. Payment records may be retained as required for accounting and fraud prevention. You may disable optional analytics from Cookie Preferences and request account deletion by emailing [email protected].

Children

The service is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.
